Started my first Maya project in the UK. This is a Lamborghini 350GT. I initially thought that cars in the 60s have easier shapes to model, but the headlight alone took me 3 days to shape!

Improved on the specular highlight on the eyes. Also added a bit more details on the collar and the hair.

The goofy security guard with texture painted. Need  a lot more tweaking, but  for now, I'm happy with the results.

Applying some weathering effects to make it look more realistic.

Realised that the first render has a very matt surface. Made some adjustments and re-rendered to make it look more realistic.

Completed the modeling part. These are 'Ambient Occlusion' renders. I'm quite happy with how they look, except the tail needs some refinement. Next step will be UV layout before working on the texture.

Jun 2012: The 'Night Watchman' project got side-tracked... Started building a WWII Spitfire. This time round, it took only about 3 weekends of work to get to where I am currently.

Jun 2012: Started a new project - the 'Night Watchman' - to learn how to model, texture and animate. A lot more work needed!

May 2011 to May 2012: Apache tutorial project from Simply Maya . Took about a year to model, texture, animate, render and composite! Here's the end result:

Mar 2011: Sports Car modeling tutorial from Digital Tutors. This was the first time I used Maya Mental Ray to render, and the results were very satisfying.

Feb 2011: Futuristic bike inspired by the movie TRON. This was a tutorial from 3D Magazine.

Dec 2010: WWI Fokker D7. Tried texturing with my limited knowledge. Not very realistic.
